Your Believing Affects Your Receiving.

In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” According to this and other verses in the Bible, what you believe determines what you receive from the Lord. In other words, your believing affects your receiving.
Notice I said that your believing affects your receiving. Your receiving isn’t based on another person’s faith; it’s based on your faith. And just hearing someone else preach the Word won’t give you faith to receive unless you get into the Word for yourself.
Years ago, I preached at a small Full Gospel church in Kansas. The pastor told me that more than half of his congregation had not received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. They were good Christian people, but they hadn’t received this Bible experience. So at the pastor’s request, I spent several evenings teaching on the baptism in the Holy Ghost and how to be filled with the Spirit. Each night, I encouraged the people to bring their own Bible to the services so they could read along with me and not just take my word for what I was teaching. You see, I wanted them to see it in the Word for themselves.

His Word is Life

Psalm 16:1–6 Psalm 16:1–6 NLT 1 Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. 2 I said to the Lord , “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” 3 The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them! 4 Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. I will not take part in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods. 5 Lord , you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. 6 The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance! Believers are privileged to receive a spiritual inheritance from their heavenly Father as a result of their adoption into the family of God through faith. Believers have an inheritance in Christ Jesus as God’s heir Hebrews 1:2 NLT 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. John 3:35 NLT 3...

Heaven and Hell Are Real1

Hello reader, do you know that Heaven, Hell and Eternity are Real? Do you know that you inherited Adam's sin at birth and if you die in sin you will spend Eternity in hell fire? But if you genuinely repent (Born Again) before your death, you will spend Eternity in Heaven? Life in the World is temporal but life in Eternity is forever. Because you inherited Adam's Sin of disobedience at birth, you came into the world as a sinner, a child of Satan and an enemy of God. God's punishment for sin is death and life in hell fire (Ezek18:4). The Bible says: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."(Rom3:23). The wages for sin is death that is-total separation from God.(Rom6:23). God hates sin and is continually angry with every sinner(Ps7:11). The Bible says: No sinner will inherit the Kingdom of God. Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor lesbians nor sodomites nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor rivelers, nor ext...

Forgive & Set Your Faith Free

Adapted from medium.com Until we are born again, we live in a kingdom dominated by darkness, fear, hate, strife, and worry. But after we’re born again, we have the love of God in our hearts, and we can love like God loves (Rom. 5:5). MATTHEW 24:12–14 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The Greek word translated as “love” in verse 12 is agape. We’ve come to see this as the God–kind of love—unconditional love. And only people who are saved have the love of God poured out in their heart. So Matthew 24:12 is not talking about people of the world. This scripture is talking about a time when members of the Body of Christ—those who are born again—will allow the love of God within them to be weakened. How does this happen? By allowing offense to come into our lives....
